Write for us
Clever News Briefing welcomes pitches that help readers see how news is made legible: through headlines, framing, sources, evidence or context. We prefer a precise question and a useful reading exercise to a broad claim about the state of the news.
What to pitch
Propose an evergreen article that explains one news-reading skill or untangles one common point of confusion. A strong idea has a clear reader, a bounded subject and a main takeaway that does not depend on alarm, insider access or a passing news cycle.
What makes a pitch work
Tell us the working title, the central question, the reader takeaway and how you would support factual statements. Note any examples or sources you expect to use, and disclose relevant interests. We welcome original writing; send a proposal rather than a finished article unless requested.
How to send it
Send proposals through the Contact page and choose the editorial question option. Include enough detail to show the piece's shape, but keep the pitch focused. A submission is not a promise of publication, and we may edit accepted work for clarity and fit.
Curiosity beats the first impression
News reading gets more rewarding when we pause over the choices on the page. We look for clues, test our assumptions and stay open to what we do not yet know.
